What is the View works on your wall’-feature of ARTBUTLER NEXT?
The ‘View works on your wall’-feature of ARTBUTLER NEXT offers you and your customers the ability to visualize artworks true to scale in your own spaces using augmented reality. This can be done with the help of your smartphone or tablet. The application is user-friendly and does not require any special technical knowledge.
What can I use it for?

How does it work?
- Prepare Your Artworks: Upload your artworks to your ARTBUTLER NEXT account and enter all relevant information such as size, material, and price.
- Activate the Feature: In the general settings of your ARTBUTLER NEXT account, go to ‘Subscription & Billing‘. Activate ‘View works on your wall’ with the slider and then click ‘Update Subscription’ to book the feature for 10 € a month.
- Create a Showroom: Create a showroom with all the works you want to visualize on your wall (click here for more information on showrooms). In the settings of your showroom, enable ‘Activate View in your Room (Augmented Reality) for all works’.
- Select the Artwork: Open the showroom on your smartphone or tablet and click ‘View on your own wall’ for an artwork. The artwork will initially be displayed three dimensional. Click on the ‘AR’ button in the bottom right corner to access the AR feature.
- Place Your Artwork: Aim your camera at the desired wall where you want to visualize the artwork and slowly move your camera across the entire area, especially the edges of the wall.
- Experience Your Art in Your Own Space: Once the camera has captured the entire wall surface and room dimensions, your artwork will be displayed true to scale on the wall. You can now try different positions and even adjust the size of the artwork.
Note: Please ensure that the camera can capture the perimeter of the wall, especially with respect to the floor, room ceiling, and adjacent walls. Poor lighting conditions or obstacles such as rounded corners or obstruction by furniture, may hinder the functionality of the ‘View works on your wall’ AR feature.
Integrate ‘View works on your wall’ on your website
Not only can you bring your art to life in showrooms with our AR function, you can also integrate the function directly on your ARTBUTLER website and thus offer visitors the opportunity to visualize your works to scale on their own walls. To do so, ‘’View in room’ links are displayed on the overview page of your works at the desired works.
