Do you have a new publication or exciting news you want to share with your customers? We’re here to assist you in publishing new posts on your website.
Steps to create News & Publications in WordPress:
- Log in to WordPress: Open your web browser and enter the URL of your WordPress website. Log in to the administration area (WordPress Dashboard) using your login credentials.
- After logging in, you’ll arrive at the WordPress Dashboard. In the left sidebar, locate the “Posts” or “News” section. Click on it to open the post management area.
- At the top of the page, you’ll find the “Add New” button. Click on it to create a new post.
- Start by entering the title of your post in the designated field. If needed, you can link artists or exhibitions to the publication by clicking the “+” icon. Optionally, you can also upload a document as an attachment.
- As you scroll down, you’ll see the text editor where you can compose the content of your post. Here, you can format text, insert images, add links, and much more.
- Adding a post image: On the right side, you’ll find the “Set Featured Image” option. Here, you can upload a main image for your post, which will be displayed on the overview page for news and publications.
- When you’re satisfied with your post and ready to publish it, click the “Publish” button. This will make your post go live on your website and visible to visitors. Excellent!
Change posts:
If you need to make changes to your post later on, you can do so in the post editor. Click on the post in the post area and make the desired changes. Don’t forget to save the changes again or update the post.
Multiple post images:
In the WordPress dashboard under “Edit Publication > Click on the feature image > Media library > Filter media > uploaded to this publication”, you can re-sort, add or permanently delete linked images. Please note: If the image is still used elsewhere on your website, it will also be lost there after deletion.
To remove only the link between an image and a post, you can click on “unlink” for this image in the WordPress media library (not in the publication/news).
